Memorial: Rita (Susie) Hammer McAlvey born 04-05-1947 was called home to be with her sons, brothers, parents, grandson and greatgrandson on 02-26-2024. Everyone that knew her knew her love of her family, friends that became family and everyone in between. Some of her favorite past times were camping, fishing, family time weekends with all the grandchildren at Tonasket with our cousins. She loved to crochet and sew. She made most of her gifts the last few years. She crocheted all of her kids and grandchildren blankets, socks and all sorts of decorations. She was someone anyone could talk to due to her loving personality and listening ears. She was a truth bomb person and warned everyone if you didn't want her honest opinion or advice then don't ask for it because she was known to give it. She raised her family mostly as a single mother with mostly help from her family and close friends. She was extremely proud of all of her children and grandchildren. She told everyone how proud she was of all of them with no reservations or restrictions. The way she made sure everyone was taken care of and happy kept everyone going. For that reason everyone that came into her world loved and cherished her. Something everyone that knew her knew She Was one Hell of a Woman and for that she'll be remembered. Graveside Services were held at 11am, Friday, March 15th 2024 at the Beaver Creek Cemetery in Twisp, WA.
